We camped in a tent at Ft. Wilderness, and apparently had a very different experience from the person who posted on March 12! I guess it’s all depends on what you go into it expecting. And the rules weren’t that oppressive. We expected that we wouldn’t be able to catch and fry up our own fish, or build a camp fire and risk a brush fire, or have to dig a hole behind a bush to squat over when we had to go to the bathroom. If you want these experiences, don’t camp in Orlando or on the Disney World property.

It’s an event venue, small farm, and RV Park. My review is based on the particular site we had C1. Site C1 is right beside a screened porch used for parties. It overlooked two ponds and the view was excellent sadly the weather was horrible, so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors as much as we would have liked. There’s a small fire pit with a swing bench located on the site. The site area was huge and very level There is a farm located onsite, so you can spend time visiting with horses, goats, chickens and bunnies The whole park is clean and there is a very nice play area for kids and a large pool for the warmer days.
The staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. There are a few negatives as well, though. If I recall correctly, site C1, C2, and C3 are the only ones that are set off near the ponds that offer shade and a great view. Most of the sites with hookups are out in the open and offer no shade at at.

March 1, – March 30, Location: The special was not good for January or February but it was for March if they had availability. This is strictly an RV park located no more than a half a mile from the very busy US We expected it to be a little nicer than it was. It is quite old with several park models and very tiny paved roads. It does have a high border fence all the way around the park to buffer noise and unpleasant views. Across from the entrance north is another older RV park.
There is another older community to the south, a tree buffer on the west between the resort and a Wal-greens and strip center. There is a cement factory on the east that is a noise problem for those on the fence row. There are a few palm trees, but it is mostly sunny with the sites very close together.
