The most popular place to camp in Joshua Tree – Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground is located at the southern edge of the Mojave Desert – offering panoramic views of the North face of Joshua Tree National Park, exceptional desert vistas, and spectacular night skies.
The setting for these camp sites is in a dense jeffery pine forest. Mammoths afternoon winds blowing through these tree provide a nice relaxing camping atmosphere. Most people camping at Shady Rest use these sites as a launching point to go explore the eastern sierra. Shady rest campgrounds are located right along the mammoth lakes trail system.
The trails can take you vie a walk or bike ride to parks, vistas, mammoth creek, downtown and the volcom skate park. The USFS visitors center and amphitheater are also right on the grounds. Look for highs in the 70s and 80s during the summer months and 60s and 70s in the fall months. Snow in most years moves in a closes things down by thanks giving.
Both new and old shady rest campground have a hosts on site that are happy and eager to help you. These sites have no power, but they do have water, a table and fire pits.
RV Rental California
It sits on the east side of Hwy. The beach is dog friendly as long as they are on a leash and they are cleaned up after. The sites are spacious and have a picnic table, fire ring and pedestal barbeque. Campground is like a large meadow with mature pine trees located throughout campground.

Disneyland Area Campsites & RV Parks
If you plan to spend the night in your RV, you must be in a designated campsite–you can’t park in a parking lot or along the side of the road. You should make a reservation as early as possible. If you don’t have reservations, find out more about camping without reservations. Electrical, water, and sewer hookups are not available in Yosemite, although dump stations with fresh water are available at Upper Pines Campground all year , near Wawona Campground summer only , and near Tuolumne Meadows Campground summer only.
